The enthusiasm from these two fungi fanatics can't help but be contagious! Their excitement bounces from one to the other and back again. It didn't take long for the group to enjoy listening out for the squeals (and snorts) of excitement as new things were discovered to show everyone. The genuine delight they find in the natural world is captivating.

Matt got to tick off another find from his personal 'Fungi Bucket List'. Bulgaria inquinans - Black Bulgar also called Bachelor's Buttons, Rubber Buttons, or Black Jelly Drops.

We found the perfect Beefsteak. They look so much like raw meat and when cut they even bleed too!

It was a very wet day, but without rain we wouldn't have any fungi to find! We loved the contagious excitement of the guests when finding the mushrooms. Everyone got stuck in with lots of good questions. It was an added bonus that we were lucky enough to find a fair amount of prize edible mushrooms for everyone to take some home.
